Miami Herald
Suzy Gershman, an american journalist
living here in Provence wrote this lovely article about
us for the launch issue of the Miami Herald travel magazine.
The restaurant in the photos is in Eygalieres,
about 15 minutes from home, and is as posh as its Michelin
star dictates. Having rearranged the terrace and commandeered
the staff for the photos we felt obliged to eat there -
only to find the only wallet in the group was owned by Suzy's
date!
Well, we all enjoyed the meal and remembered
to thank him afterwards.. |
National Geographic Traveller
A great article showing all the things
to do in Provence you may never think of. Of course we were
high on the list (well, number 13 actually).
This was nearly my 15 minutes of fame,
with Fabienne and the photographer scanning my wardrobe
to find something to match the gleaming red sidecar I had
washed and polished. Feeling very important only lasted
a moment or two as Robert Trophilme, our friendly architect,
wandered in. With his gallic moustache and well-used Military
spec. Ural he instantly became the star of the show.
I took some comfort later from watching
him in the sidecar run back and forth along the same road
maybe fifty times with the photographer back-to-front behing
Pascal our mechanic on a Harley. How fickle is fame... |
L'Integral
A well-known french bike magazine borrowed
a Ural for their travel feature through the Ardeche region.
Some great photos taken by the journalist
and his ever-willing wife and son.
Look carefully to see the dent in the
sidecar caused by rolling the sidecar in the dark down a
narrow street after a good dinner - he didn't want to start
the engine or turn on the lights in case anybody official
asked him to justify his wine intake for the night!
